More bosses with special loot
I think we can all agree more quest options would be awesome. The problem comes in with the work involved in journal entries, and conversations... Not to mention the module resources eaten up by dialogues.
A workaround would at least be to have a guaranteed level-appropriate boss at the end of most, if not all, areas that are off the beaten path, especially ones with multiple areas that must be traversed to reach the end. These bosses should have guaranteed improved treasure as reward for increased challenge.
This could be done with off-pallets NPCs to avoid resource drain.
It just stands to reason that about every single group of hostiles would have an alpha or leader. Having these unique bosses would add something different and interesting to each such area... It would encourage exploration and reward revisiting those areas.

I'll second this ... there's nothing more disappointing than exploring a series of places, defeating all the baddies, and ... nothing.

A leader of some sorts should be there. similar to wolves who sometimes have a dire wolf leading them

I think I'll adopt this idea for more epic level areas, if I ever get the time to do anything with my desire to create new areas in the Elven Sylvan Realm. I have a concept for [spoiler] something at the river's trail's end near the huge lake at Faerie Delve.
And if I do get that time, I may need to pick the brains of those players already familiar with spawning behaviors and creating encounters in areas for Aenea, so as to not bother so much (so if you don't mind, please let me know who's got the know-how and experience to answer such questions).
