Interesting use of releveling scales
Although it seems that the intent of the releveling scales is to allow the player to correct mistakes in their PC's build, it occurs to me that the scales can be used in an entirely different way.
By my figuring, you should be able to play a total of 9 different builds per PC if you so choose.
3 builds per incarnation (original, reincarnated, ascended).
1st build 1st-19th level <- use first set of scales prior to 20th level
2nd build 20th-40th level
3rd build 40th "plus" level <- use second set of scales at any time
Is this correct? If so, it just opened up a whole new way to think about PCs for me.

Re: Interesting use of releveling scales
I prefer to use the scales late or when complate in the build to fine tune the design. But occasionally, errors are made getting there which allows earlier use probable.
But the Staff is really decent about giving Scales to those that have glitches in the builds, or have made errors in using them. Just remember to use the Magic Word when asking....

Um ... I guess you could approach it in this way. If you're a build oriented person, I see no reason not to. Personally, I don't frown on it - they're your relevel scales, do with them as you will.
And of course, as always, Elhanan is spot on with the Magic Word. It works wonders! Amirite?

Re: Interesting use of releveling scales
Taking this further, the initial creation choices are *very important* because they are immutable for all 9 builds.
1. Carefully choose your starting class, it will be present in all builds.
2. Carefully choose your race/sub-race/deity, also present in all builds
3. Carefully choose your abilities, you probably don't want to create a PC with abilities below 10
4. Don't spend any skill points initially
5. Choose a feat that you want in all builds. I chose "blind fight"
6. Be careful in your selection of a semi-class, it doesn't relevel
With this little bit of early planning it opens up the opportunity to experience entirely different aspects and career pursuits with the same PC and continuity in narrative. Personally I like the idea a great deal. It makes sense to me that once a PC has reached a high level of expertise that they may want to try something entirely different. People do it in RL all the time.

I do believe semi-class is wiped on reincarnation and ascension.

I've also seen the potential for the Relevel Scales, to correct not only build 'mistakes' (such as occur from newbie ignorance of Aenean possibilities), but to tweak a character who has gone down a different RP evolutionary path from its first build. I always keep this in the back of my mind as my characters develop through RP.
At my last PW, one had to petition a DM with a good RP reason to change your character piecewise via LETO, or to strip your character of levels. But I like this much better, being as it is mostly at your own discretion, and doesn't involve a busy DM, except for maybe obtaining another Scales. Which if it's for a reasonable character correction or developmental change, my understanding is that that should not be a problem.
Another Yayy for awesome Aenean features!
