Dex bonus math Empty Dex bonus math

This one has me stumped and I'm sure I'm overlooking something simple.

Fren has a natural Dex of 30 (which includes a +2 Dex tome).

She has:
custom item (clothing) +3 Dex bonus
boots +2 Dex bonus
belt +8 Dex bonus

Any two items equipped seem to apply correctly.

However if she wears all three at once Dex caps out at 42 instead of 43...

???

EDIT: I'm beginning to suspect that perhaps abilities are capped at 42? Her dex ioun stone no longer provides any bonus beyond 42 either...

Ability bonuses from item are capped at a total of +12...

One of the nice things about Aenea is Lady Shea stat buys, ability tomes and subrace bonuses (and penalties) are applied directly to your character sheet (through LETO ?, an external program on the server) which means those bonuses don't count towards the cap (~ they do on most other servers!)

Unless there was other properties on the boots you want I'd suggest replacing them for something else and keep your custom,belt and ioun active/equipped.... ...
