Orc Blood Witch Darkness
Not sure if its a bug but when the blood witch casts darkness you can see part of the corridor disappear, obviously as it should.
My monk, raiden, ran into the area to kill the witch
But then the darkness seems to attach itself to him and he can wander and bump into walls while in continual darkness wherever he goes.
Is this as it should be or am I just unlucky?

No, you're not unlucky. Darkness has always seemed to be a tad wonky.
Did you by chance use ultravision/true-seeing potions or abilities *after* entering the darkness effect?

Wondering if Darkness is being cast on the subject or item; thus making it portable.

No. There's mechanically no way for one PC/Creature to cast it on another creature/PC's equipment.

Re: Orc Blood Witch Darkness
I did not use any potions and not yet have darkvision upgraded onto my gear.
I ported out of the palace and back to the Vale. Raiden is still in complete darkness
Also logged out but he is still in darkness.
Its almost like the darkness attached itself to him

Re: Orc Blood Witch Darkness
Dark vision has no effect on magical darkness. Only truesight and ultravision.
The effect you're describing is like what I would get when I would accidentally apply truesight or ultravision while under effects of darkness (darkness is one of my favorite spells for getting in sneak attacks while soloing)
Has relogging fixed the issue? That was the only quick fix I could find until the bug itself could be squashed.

Re: Orc Blood Witch Darkness
Yes, it is, but indirectly. Blindfight lets you reroll the miss chance against concealed targets, and while under the effect of darkness, all targets are considered concealed, not just ones with dispalcement/improved invis/emptybody/ect.
It doesn't counter the darkness spell effect though. You still gotta deal with the concealment on your attack rolls, even though your odds against bypassing it are much better.
