Not Used: Echest Suggestion

Have the chest come empty. Completely empty. No boxes.

That way players can add their own containers, renamed to their specifications, if they even add any at all.

For older chests already owned.... toggle their boxes to transferable, and renamable, and let the PC's organize their off-character inventory as they want

Good idea. Also would be great to have colored gem pouches. Would make various tiny items easier to identify - especially those that don't stack, such as crystals and iouns.

Not used, because even an ethereal chest should have a limit on the amount of things put in there. And you know if PCs can swap in their own containers, it's going to all be tiny 1-square gem pouches and swell the ethereal chest database up to 4 times the normal size as the packrats of Aenea go wild and cram even more stuff in there that they'll likely never use.

Wow. I just looked at the server, and the database file for the chests is already at 1.34 GB. Just think...all of the hak files for Aenea (Aenea haks + CEP + Project Q) take up about 8.5 GB. I'm going to have to figure out a way to free up some hard drive space, methinks.

Isn't it possible to make gem pouches unstorable?

For clarity's sake: I'm aware you weren't refering to my post, however, despite how it might've been interpreted, I proposed variation of pouches independently of the echest alteration idea.

What about renaming the containers in the echest? Seems you could at one point in time, as Jane's have been changed, but they do not take name changes now. Nice to have that option, especially if you've got a touch of the pacrat, like me.
