Level voucher, shield appearance, and custom skin

Skywatcher has an extra level voucher from somewhere, she is lvl 40 ascended, if I use the voucher will I get 40K xp?

Skywatchers shield used to be a great looking tower shield with an amethyst dragon on it, when I logged back in after my break, it was a plain silver shield. Can I have my dragon shield back while I wait for the crystals to be fixed?

If I take a custom skin for Skywatcher, will it have the animations for combat and casting it should have? In other words, does the dryad skin have animations, and it is customizable in terms of hair and skin color?

Animations go model by model.

Most of the appearances in the custom skin list I believe are full animation models.  If you know how to extract the appearance.2da from the aeneaupdates.hak, you can open the 2da in notepad (turn off wordwrap), and find the line for the appearance you want.  The "model type" column will list either P, S, F, or L.   The S, F or L types could also have a W, T, or WT attached as well.

If your appearance is a P model type, it's a part-based model like regular PCs... I believe that the Brownie appearance is the only one of the aenea custom skin appearances in this category.

If your desired appearance is an F model type, it has full animations.  If it has the W, T, or WT letters in it's model type, that means it can have Wings, Tails, or both wings and tails attached.

If your desired appearance is a L or S type, then it will not have full animations.  Some S and L models may have more or less animations than other S or L types.... the W/T/WT thing means wings/tails just like for full models.

OR...

For a FAR simpler method... I could write up a modification for your player build module that would let you test out the appearances off-line.

Back to my shield question, is there any way I can get my Amethyst Dragon image back on my shield? The shield appearance change thingies still do not seem to be working. I have a 20K voucher, can I trade that for my old shield appearance? Or is that model gone forever with the changes to implement project q?

Dunno.  I think that with the implementation of Q, many of those shield appearances went bye-bye.  Were you using the crystals to change things? Cause, yeah, they're pretty darn broked right now.   had implemented a visual model type crafting area, down in the basement of Bluebeard's tower - have you used that?  The tower shields are on the third subfloor.  You can check and see if the Amethyst appearance is offered among the models.  Otherwise, will likely have to wait until gets all the content playing nice with each other.  Unless someone else among us knows of some voodoo to apply ...

If so, you should be able to get it on your shield no problem.  But please note, I did say "should."

Yes, that exactly the shield appearance I am looking for. I used to have it, but I cannot even get the shield appearance apparatus to work for me at all anymore.

I bought a new masterwork shield and went to the craft hall in Mountainhome, and was able to cycle through shield appearances, and I seem to be missing about half of the models. Any idea which hak I need to redownload?

I still cannot get the crystals in the basement in VV to work though.

You want to bypass the crystals. if you're going into bluebeards to get to the crystals, there's a door on the right side exactly before you hit the crystal room. there are stairs leading down. you want to find the third sublevel, it's the one with tower shields. the bench in the room should have instructions on it if you look at it.
