Custom Item Voucher Advice?

I currently have the following unspent Custom Item vouchers:

120,000 GP (Must be Red Dragon or Necromatically related)
120,000 GP
150,000 GP
500,000 GP
-----------
890,000 worth total

I already have 140,000 GP spent into a pair of boots, and already have the armor, weapon, and amulet I want to use.

I've played around in the toolset, but am having a hard time putting together a comprehensive suite (defensive in nature), and not even sure what I want (except reducing Acid Damage).

Any suggestions? Thoughts?

What class are we talking here?

I'm thinking that using bracers might be best, as you can add +8 rather than +5 AC. Immunity to Necromancy never hurts, and for acid damage control, 75% should be enough combined with 20 to 30 resistance. Depending on your class, you might want a spell sequencer(3 spells) with infinite uses per day. UMD would give you infinite access to any spell you want to put in it, as you can use scrolls to add to a sequencer.

If you want defensive aids, how about going along the lines of "Cast Spell : Acid sheath / Flora's Razor leaf/ Flame Shield" ~ the damaging protective spells...

Also for defence a Cast of Shadowshield is always good (necromancy defence, negative energy defence)...

You can't really go wrong with making the item a spell sequencer either (3 spells is always best), just remember to also add "Clear Sequencer" as well .... this will let you cast up to three "defensive spells" in a one-hit action, good for raising those defences quickly ...

Have a look in the dwarf thread and see what is "easy" to add to an item (such as AC bonus, elemental resistances) and DON'T waste your valuable custom voucher money on it.... think of what you can get added in-game, and build your item with the "exclusively rare" stuff not available from in-game sources....

For basic AC types your looking at the cloak, belt and glove slots left open .... but for a really good boost (and dependent on the PC and playstyle).. have you considered a custom tower shield.. lots of good basic AC that is often overlooked.... and a wealth of other options (such as On Hit : xxx ,, just NOT OnHit:CastSpell:xxx).... you can get some good enemy harming stuff in this way, whilst also protecting your own a**e..... ....

Don't know if you are still looking for advice, but remember to take into consideration what the dorf and old tentacle face can do for you as well.

Specific property recommendations are damage resistance and reduction, and spells, specifically contingency and premonition. Just remember to watch the charges!

I still haven't used any of the Custom Item Vouchers mentioned above yet, but I appreciate the advice. None of my PCs have ever used his or the Squid-Face's services, and I'm not sure why I haven't (outside of not wanting some of my PCs beholden to those NPCs, possible in-game ramifications).

For what it's worth... speaking OOC about the IC ramifications.... it would be common knowledge that while both the dwarf and maker NPCs might give a client a bit of a hard time(rudeness, threatening innuendo), there are no reports or even rumors that anyone has ever been harmed or blackmailed by either of them. After all, that sort of thing would ruin their reputation and kill their business

Ah, correct. that would indeed be a valid suspicion. Allow to me clarify the above by also stating that there have been no reported disappearances of their clients or business contacts in any way linked to either of them. Still not airtight, but heavy evidence in favor of the benefit of the doubt

Where is the "dwarf thread"? Searched but I don't think I found it.

So there's a Dwarf Wizard or Smith somewhere that makes/augments stuff? Someone told me that the knucklebone collector could augment an item with death immunity after a quest, but I haven't found any convo for that. Where is the right PC for this?

And my PC also has a grudge against Illithids, so that's made her avoid him, and contributed to me not realizing that it seems that the Maker makes more than golems? If this is true, is this after a quest also?

Dave said elsewhere that enhancements bonuses from the Dwarf Wizard and the Maker are no better than what can be done at the Mystic Forge. But what else can either of those do?

The Mystic Forge may enhance armor or a weapon to +5 at a cost of 50 BM gems. The others may add all sorts of other effects like the ones in Custom Vouchers.

The Maker is run by manny; the Dwarf knuckle collector is run by dave, and they must be on-line to make stuff. I do not know of any auto-setttings for either.
