Partially Used: The Aenea Map
It has come to my attention that it is highly possible for a night time race such as myself to stand in the middle of an open grassy plain and just as dawns rising "go and view the map"... until sundown.. surely 'Concentrating on the Map' should take into account where you actually are when looking at it... .. I propose a change so that the map gets a day/night cycle to stop this exploit of its over-generous sheltered oblivion to everything that's happening around you...

Re: Partially Used: The Aenea Map
Good point. The map was never intended to be used as an actual "place" (or place of shelter)...just as a handy way of seeing an overview of Aenea.
Re: Partially Used: The Aenea Map
Hmmm.. lol... I wonder if anyone ever thought of using it as a place... that magically detailed map just sucks ye right into it.. .. to the point where people across Aenea (from Calithia to Othik and Deathwater to Forge - I think thats the four corners).. can magically run across each other to trade items.. ((not thought of using it that way untill ye said it was a "place"..lol))...
... maybe it's through the magic of the map that we can "shout" and be heard throughout the world or telepathically "tell" anyone exactly what we want them to hear.. rofl...
On another map note (excuse pun).. can we stick some more pins in it.. there are alot more area's to explore than it lets on... .. and is there a way to layit out as a placeable as opposed to "Area Transitions"... makes it hard to see the pins and plan effective routes from A - B... unless it's like that because ye took up the suggestion of using it so the winged races can do long haul flights.... ....

Re: Partially Used: The Aenea Map
I did the "area transitions" so that you could easily see the country/kingdom outlines when you mouse over, and get the names of them when you click on them.
If that is too much of a distraction, I can easily remove that feature.
More location notes is a possibility.

Re: Partially Used: The Aenea Map
Hmm.. no don't change the area transitions.. I like the way it does that when you mouse over.. my problem was with mousing-over the pins.. you need to have the correct camera angle or the larger area transition mouse over takes priority.. .. maybe come at the problem from the other end.. can the pins be made slightly larger/taller ?....

Re: Partially Used: The Aenea Map
Not for nothing, I think Rusty just threw out an awesome idea...
Using the map to do "long haul flights" for winged characters would
be freaking awesome.
