Finally took the SWTOR plunge.
Well, y'all, I finally subscribed to The Old Republic. I've spent the last day creating characters and sorting things out. What a blast it's been!

Fun game, and a load of things to do there. However, eventually the lack of pause, and the five quickbars of abilities and items became too much for this Ancient One to handle. Enjoy it!

Oh, believe me, Ancient One, I am enjoying it! The day I subscribed, it was like Christmas! And dave, I managed to get enough Cartel Coins so that I could get the utility package! I can still visit the "Stronghold of a Somebody," but I don't really need to anymore!

Re: Finally took the SWTOR plunge.
Have no idea what all of that is.
I simply enjoyed hanging out in my own ship for solitude, and running the daily ship Missions. But even they became more Twitch oriented at the higher levels, and again; hit a wall. But overall, I liked the experience, and the mechanics were helpful for my own rehab.

Very cool! Worth the investment, methinks! And the cool part is, if the cost is problematic, you can un-subscribe and keep most of what you got (except for certain unlocks).

Re: Finally took the SWTOR plunge.
I just went with a 60 day option ... by the time it expires, i will have saved enough cash to get another 60 days. Especially nice that it runs right into the new expansion!

Re: Finally took the SWTOR plunge.
I've spent a lot of time on The Old Republic the last couple of days, since I'm keeping off my twisted ankle as much as possible.
Pretty much leaving Jedi Covenant and Shadowlands character slots to my kids for now, since I've got a lot more stuff unlocked on my original server (Harbinger).
Sent my sniper through the new expansion and a bunch of the "after chapter 9" missions, unlocking quite a few cool new companions. I've actually gotten into building up a stronghold on Harbinger (for quick access to some travel options, mail, GTN, storage, etc.)
I like SWTOR as a distraction. I can play it solo in small bits of (often interrupted) time between everything else I've got going on around the house.

Re: Finally took the SWTOR plunge.
Indeed! I imagine it is wonderful rehab for your achy ankle!
I've thought about going to other servers, but I still have so much to do, I think I will be Shadowlandbound for some time!
