Funny/Awesome Quotes!!!

So I was thinkming it would be cool if we had a thread where we could post hilarious quotes by people in Aenea.

Im thinking there is only one rule, it has to be a quote from in-game Aenea related to the game.

Ill start off with this one, whispered to me from Phyllick Delucian:

"I have just found the Underdark (for the first time). I would like to Save my game at this point".

Yet ANOTHER great one from Phyllick, only an hour after the last one!

"Holy Crap! Big brain just eated... (counts on fingers)... LOTS of XP!"

That one was great, I couldn't even smack mummies I was laughin' so hard, lol.

Its still one of my best memories in Aenea and feels like so long ago now however the day that Crideas and Alastair had an almighty battle with Gron in the Great Hall of Zolaras (and I still don't know quite how - Al said he'd post it one day but has since gone MIA)... .. this had several qoutes along the lines of "No really don't Die Jay.. you wouldn't like it here at the moment", and, "No need to ressurect us to continue the fight Al.. he's followed us to the hall"...



... That very same day earlier I also believe there was
"Jay, you can make that jump over the lava there.. .. " - Crideas
"And if you don't I'll ressurect ye" - Alastair
"Em, guys I appear to dead, I've used a Gift, and appear to still be dead... " - Jay
"Er.. yes.. and your corpse is nothing but ash" - Alastair and Crideas

Alright, it has been a while, so the details are fuzzy.... but I will try to explain what bits I remember.

Alastair Synge had forged the Weapon of Prophecy. He called upon his Wizard Buddy, Crid Bane, and they set off to battle the Great Evil.

Things went well as they cleared the palace. Then they reached Gron's Chamber. Crideas had warned Al that he needed time in order to restrict Gron's movements, or Gron would close quickly and slay them with ease.

Al jumped the gun, and Gron nailed him. Crid was trying feverishly to draw Gron away from Al's corpse and then lock Gron down so that he could resurrect Al.... but he failed... and was soon sent to join Al in the great hall.

Upon reaching the great hall, Crid formulated a plan and told Al to wait for the resurrection. He used a Gift of Zolaras, got back to where gron was, healed up and started trying to again lock him down. And failed again.
It must have happened so quickly that when Crid went through the area transition to the Great Hall, Gron wasn't quite dont with his Bloodsplattering, and followed Crid right to the Realm of the Recently Dead... where he proceeded to slay both Al and Crid.... repeatedly... a LOT.

The *Great Cleave:Critical Hit* messages were coming so fast that there was a wall of white text above Gron's head, and the immolation effectfrom Gron's axe had created permanent columns of flame on both of us. The sounds effects were firing so often it was like some unintelligible gurgle that somehow fit the situation as we were being rapid-fire slaughtered like helpless cattle. We were howling with laughter so hard we couldn't breathe.... my eyes were watering so much I couldn't even read my chat window... and it took almost 5 minutes of gut-busting hilarity before i could calm down enough to focus and get a screenshot.

I can't even imagine the debt that incurred! lol

Wow...I fear Gron even more, but that was a funny story...:-)

Yeah... incredulity quickly gave way to hysterics... it was.... in a word....


Epic.


And an Epic Fail at that

He killed us so many time that I dont think I will ever be able to even the score.

Its currently like Gron - 136, Crid - 18

Aye.. I remember it well from my viewpoint in the safety of the Sleeping Dragon... from being "in the party" the combat log was still announcing the deaths of my two fellows.. the log didn't stop scrolling for at least 10 minutes.. "Gron.. killed Crideas", "Gron.. killed Al".. repeatedly.. .. for a whole ten minutes.. ten minutes of xp debt racking up between two people that were both well into their mid-20's.. (early 30's)... ..

.. I was actually frightened to go out in case I died and ended up there with them.. .. I was only like lv7 and "on a tour" with them just before this happened.. hence my involvement in the party.. .. .. they did a good job keeping me alive - minus the lava jumping.. ..

See, this is proof that Elder Beholders have no damn sense of humor!

Funny, I remember it Crid dying, and Al asking via tell-epathy if Crid wanted a raise, when one of Crid's walls of force holding Gron captive went poof, and Al going poof about 1 and a half rounds after that :p

Thankfully, one does not incure XP debt in the great hall. If we did.... well, Alastair would still be working off that debt no doubt O_o

I dont remember ever actually getting him enclosed. As I said the details are fuzzy, its possible I died first, but Im pretty sure he aggroed on you before I could finish trapping him.

S'vair seems to think Crideas bitching about getting chased around the lake atop the hill in Valorian's Vale by Alastair singing his Mundane Melody is worthy of this thread... but...

Im sure Al would like that... however... Crid does not permit drunken sods access to his sanctum without supervision. And if the furniture gets damaged again, Al will have a big glowing green "friend" who wants to get to know him better

And Creepy Crubus off on the sidelines watching the whole thing? I think not, Even *bards* have some dignity!
