Argh.... XP installed fine. My main data disk works fine. Sorta. The games folder is there and I can get into it, but NOT so with my primary data folder.... in which is oh, several thousand MP3s, several thousand family photos, pretty everything non-game.
All I gotta say to Bill Gates at this particular instant in time is *BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP* and *BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP* and he can take his money and *BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP* *BLEEEP unaccessable folder my round rosey *BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*.

All I can think of, if part of that drive is accessible and part is not, is that you need to run a chkdsk on that whole drive.... bad part is, it may decide to truncate any files or directory trees that have errors.
Still, partial data loss is better than total data loss.

So far it seems like everything is still there.... but it'll take a loooong while to double check, especially with the 15+ gigs of photos.
