Feat Requirements
Sorry to ask, but I noticed the custom feats Enchant Item/Arms and armor/Forge Jewelery were made. They look like they'd be great feats to take, but I can't find any information on what the requirements to take them are, aside from being a spellcaster.
Sorry to ask, but would anyone happen to know what the requirements to take these feats are?

Re: Feat Requirements
The feats have not yet been added. They are going to become available when I complete the Player Item Enchantment System. Once I update the aeneahak_update.hak file for the system, you'll be able to take the feats during level-up.
Enchant Arms & Armor: Brd 5, Clr 5, Drd 5, Sor 5, Wiz 5
Forge Jewelry: Brd 12, Clr 12, Drd 12, Sor 12, Wiz 12
Enchant Items: Brd 7, Clr 7, Drd 7, Sor 7, Wiz 7
Scribe Scroll: Brd 1, Clr 1, Drd 1, Pal 1, Rgr 1, Sor 1, Wiz 1 (free)
Brew Potion: Brd 3, Clr 3, Drd 3, Pal 3, Rgr 3, Sor 3, Wiz 3
Imbue Focus: Brd 5, Clr 5, Drd 5, Pal 5, Rgr 5, Sor 5, Wiz 5
I didn't notice until now that paladins and rangers could take the older item creation feats. I might have to add the newer ones to their lists, too.

Re: Feat Requirements
When PIES goes active will PC's that already have the feats be updated.. like your version of "Scribe Scroll" etc overwrites the original?...(No need to "take the feat again).. how about the Craft Wand feat?.. Is that being replaced by Enchant Items?

Re: Feat Requirements
The feats already part of the game (Scribe Scroll, Brew Potion, Craft Wand) will be updated.
Scribe Scroll and Brew Potion are only partially changed. They will become background feats...necessary to create scrolls and potions, but not "activated" and used directly on blank scrolls and empty bottles. All of the item creation feats will be more along the lines of "character has the feat = character can use the VC commands for those items".
Craft Wand will be updated to become Imbue Focus, allowing you to enchant wands, rods, and staves via the new system. If you already have Craft Wand, it will automatically be updated.

Re: Feat Requirements
My major gripe with the default item creation system was always having items I create use either the minimum caster level required to cast the spell in question, or my full caster level (up to the limit of the spell) without giving me any choice in the matter.
It would be extremely nice to be able to make that decision for myself depending on what I need or want the item to be able to do.
Just a thought

Re: Feat Requirements
And unfortunately, the new system will not give you that choice.
What it does is allow you to "create" many of the items that are in the toolset palette. The caster levels were set when I designed the item (just like when you design a custom reward item and select the properties).
While it's easy to do things like set caster levels for any items in a Pen & Paper game, it's incredibly time consuming and resource intensive to set it up for a computer game.

Re: Feat Requirements
I wonder how Bioware made the craft wand feat scale the caster level like they did? If a level 9 caster makes a wand of fireballs, it creates the wand at level 9.... if a level 15 caster makes the same wand, the caster level is 10 (the spell's dmg limit)... and if a level 6 makes that wand it gets caster level 6.... do you think they made a separate item for each possible caster level for every single spell? I looked in the item palette... couldnt find a buttload of wands...
Oh well
