Used: Employer's rod, bandages, sacrificial flame
Could there be any chance of having the employer rod set so it could be dropped? I've never once used it, don't know if anyone else has. Couldn't it's function be handled by the select player tool as well? Likewise with the bandages and sacrificial flame? Alastair can drop his, but none of my other characters. Seems odd since I do believe they can be purchased in Smittie's shop in valorian's vale. I can see subrace widgets not being transferable, but not the mundane items.

Re: Used: Employer's rod, bandages, sacrificial flame
I was already planning on getting rid of the rod now that the Select feat is in for everyone.
The bandages and flame are not supposed to be droppable, but I'd seen some people without them, so I added them to the shop just in case. These are supposed to be tools that every PC has on them at all times, since they are so often used.

Bandages and Flame are a neccessity in my opinions.
The employer rod is kinda handy, I've used it before, so why not keep it? Unless its logging down the server, in which I wouldn't mind the loss.

Re: Used: Employer's rod, bandages, sacrificial flame
I personally would like them, if we have to keep them, to be set to droppable - I love to organize my inventory, and it's a pain to keep shifting them around. Some of the pc tools, such as the bedroll, are already able to be moved into bags, and I would like to see the same for that cursed rod, among the other things ...

I'm the same about inventory neatness. Setting the thigns to droppable lets players put the items into bag to help inventory clutter and organization.

Same here.. forth opinion on this unofficial "vote poll" ... also related Custom Items set to non-dropable.. means you cant place them into a barter window to show off you good work... ..

The "non-droppable" setting on custom items is to prevent them being swapped around between characters, since they are meant only for the characters they are awarded to.RustyDios wrote:Same here.. forth opinion on this unofficial "vote poll" ... also related Custom Items set to non-dropable.. means you cant place them into a barter window to show off you good work... ..
And yes, I will soon make the other remaining "widget" items so you can move them around in inventory. Just be careful not to drop them on the ground or leave them on a pack ox or anything.
Re: Used: Employer's rod, bandages, sacrificial flame
But if that happens, Amethyst, a DM can always make one appear, if it can't be found at Smitty's! And thank you for doing this - the inventories of all of my PCs thank you!

Re: Used: Employer's rod, bandages, sacrificial flame
Still got to be careful with custom items however, at least the ones you can equip. If your inventory is cluttered in such a way that when you take off your custom armor or put away your custom weapon and there's just no space it will fit in your inventory, the item will drop to the ground. This also seems to remove the non-transferable setting.

Re: Used: Employer's rod, bandages, sacrificial flame
Sorry, RustyDios, but I believe that you're stuck with those! As I understand, you don't know they're cursed until you equip them, then you can't unequip them (the nature of the curse) - hence they cannot be affected by the overfull inventory drop thing.RustyDios wrote:what about all those non-dropable cursed items?.. does it happen with them..? ..
