Dalix Favour

Can you clarify what favour Dalix offers her followers? I often get this favour but is doesn;t do anything, as it does not stack. As a paladin and therefore automatically a follower of Dalix I basically get no benefit if I wear magic armour. Would it be possible to make this favour stackable and therefore actually a favour.

It's the same as a protection from evil spell.

I am hoping that the favor actually would be usable for me, as it does not stack with anything I ever have because use of a deflection modifier. It is such a minor favor too it seems, the AC bonus is 2, and if what you say is true, it only gives you 2 deflection AC to only evil creatures and +1 saves from effects from only evil creatures effects.

Could the favor be slightly boosted, to maybe +3 AC from evil and +3 saves from evil. At least that means a follower of Dalix would find the favor useful all the way up to level 8 or 9, as after that level the favor would begin to become useless... but at least it wouldn't be as horrible as it becoming useless at level 4...

I dont actually play a Paladin, but I do have a character that follows Dalix.

I, too, personally would like to see the favor of the Great Guardian get a boost to give it a feel that the favor is more "impressive", and less of an "oh, i got favored..." reaction to it.

As it is, the favor of Dalix does seem to leave a bit to be desired when compared with the favor of other deities like Lysis, Kalas, Typhis, Andra, and Torgat.

In relation to other posts in regard to "housekeeping" I have got in the habit of not sacrificing remains because my piety level is irrelevant as the Dalix favour offers no benefit. Could the favour be linked someway to piety level? i.e. the higher the piety the higher the benefit.

Yea..i have the same thing, the favor doesnt add anything in particular to my physical stats. P. from evil does shield your mind though right?

Yes, protection from evil offers mind protection. It also gives +2 to saving throws. PFE is I think the most useful 1st level spells can can see effective usage throughout a character's lifetime. Long duration, mental protection, saving throw bonus, can memorize multiple castings at higher levels in case you get dispelled...

I had a curious thought...you need pfe to cast gate so the balor dont kill ya. Would dalix's work for that as well?

The gate spell has now been changed, so you don't need protection from evil to cast it. The balor will automatically be your ally, just like with any other summoning spell.
