Gloves and Crystals

The new crystals are applying to gloves as elemental resistances rather than bonus damages as the old crystals did.

Are the gloves being worn by a monk? If they are, they should be getting a damage bonus. It not, they should be getting the protective benefit as if they were any other worn item.
