Echantment Broken?

I've been tying to enchant a rod but the enchant command seems not to be working, even the ;;enchant help doesn't function.
And yes I have made sure I was in a proper lab and had the correct spells ready. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it dos sound silly . And yes I do have the enchant focus feat. Just checking, the labs in Bluebeard tower are the right type?

Did you put the component and money in the enchanter's focus station, and then set your crafting class with ;;mi class xxxx and your caster level with ;;mi cl xxxx?

Did you get any feedback in the combat log when you tried?

Yes, did all of that. Nothing in the combat log. I can't even get anything from the ;;enchant command line, no lists no help,anything.

Are you using a command from the in-game book "whitesmith's enchantments, 17th edition"?

The books currently in-game are woefully out of date.  The new working list of stuff you can enchant is i the FAQ section of the forums (you'd be looking for "redesigned items" in the item enchantment subforum

If you ARE using the updated commands though... which rod are you trying to make?  Perhaps that specific rod is borked.

Yeah the command should be ;;mi create rod of xxxxx

Yes, it was the 17th edition I was using. Thank you for the update. If you now excuse me, there is a publisher I must introduce to a dozen or so fireballs.
