Good vampires

Can good vampires wield a holy avenger? And also why is silver an issue for vampires? Holy water yes, garlic, crosses, wooden stakes, dentists also but silver? I thought vampires were gothic and they are all black red and silver stuff no? Had an idea for a character as a redeemed vampire paladin, just not sure if it would work. Also assume armour of the redeemer no good to vamps??

Vampire paladin? Ok. You'd be ok with getting the armor of the redeemed and the holy avenger that is in the game.

Last time Angelica tried to pick up the silver scales though, she got burned by them.

Ah.. burned by the scales yes, (like any wolfblood too) but ye can get someone else to put them in a bag for you, and hold the bag!.... Or get someone else to get the materials and pay them to forward them to a certain blacksmith.... ....

Well...historically vampires could only be killed by a hawthorn wood stake thru the heart(hawthorn was thought to be the wood christs cross was made from), running water(to simulate the moving water during baptism, and of course sunlight(the light of gods face).

Silver was spose to be the pure metal..the metal of truth and so on...it was useful against werewolves because they deceived everyone with thier ability to hide amongst the masses as a human wearing thier skin.

It was later..during the B grade horror flicks with christopher lee as ol dracula they came on the idea that if its a pure metal and it hurts the evil werewolves it should have an effect on vampires...and so the silver legend was born.

As for good vampires....even a good one wouldnt be able to wield a holy avenger...or anything holy for that matter. Thier soul may be good at heart...but they are/were still mockeries of life god created and thus the antithesis to everything holy. So no they shouldnt be able to, not sure if they are able to here...but it would make sense if ad coded it so you couldnt.
