Vampires & Blood
Just a quick question. Does the heal skill work for vampires drinking blood the same way it does for a healing kit for "normal" people. Also can vampires use healing kits? Haven't tried it yet! Didn't want to pour point sinto heal if it is of no use, but find that drinking blood generally gives 1-6 HP so only really useful when resting not in the height of battle.

Re: Vampires & Blood
From the wording listed on the "Rules & Info" section of the website,
Vampires are "Hurt by healing spells and kits".
So it would seem the answer is yes.
That sort of makes getting healed night impossible... I wonder if inflict spells heal them in exchange.
Not to open a can of worms, but with a base regen of only 1 hp per minute (and only at night apparently), it seems like the no healing, plus 25% xp penalty, plus 25% of max hp dmg per round during the day is a little overboard for balancing the advantages vampires get. Maybe I am not seeing the whole picture, though.

Re: Vampires & Blood
A vampire's heal skill is taken into account with blood:
Amount healed = 1d20 + heal skill (ranks plus any modifiers) + Charisma modifier
Inflict spells (and harm) do not heal vampires (an oversight on my part, I thought I had changed it). That'll be fixed next time I update the module.
Healing kits and spells are bad for them.

Re: Vampires & Blood
Don't forget the +2 to strength and charisma, and the damage reduction. The DR loses value at higher levels, but until the baddies start swinging enchanted weapons, it's great. The stat boosts are good for paladins and blackguards.

Re: Vampires & Blood
Thanks for that. Azrael is a vampire fighter/bard/RDD. Have to get me some inflict wounds scrolls, and stuff some skill points in heal!
