Combating Goblinoids
Combating goblinoids can be compared to battling any humanoid race, provided they were simple minded and used primarily brute strength.
Goblins wear padded or leather armor and often wield simple and martial weapons, but cannot wield large weapons or wield medium weapons with two hands, as they are the size of halflings and gnomes. They are easy pickings, but goblin shamans, as well a mounted goblins, can prove dangerous. It is best to have a companion if you facing large numbers of goblinoids, one of you would focus on the shaman and rangers, while the other would focus on the meleers. If you ever suspect a goblin tribe has tamed spiders or made an alliance with worgs it is best to have an additional companion, unless you are experienced, in which you need not worry.
Hobgoblins wear scalemail and chainmail. As such a magic weapon or accurate strikes would be needed. Hobgoblins prefer user swords and axes, while the shamans use warhammers and flails. It is best to be either heavily armored or in a group if fighting hobgoblins. Hobgoblins will often send their goblin, pixie, and kobold slaves to fight you as well, however if you kill their masters they will either reward you... or run away, after all, they are slaves.
Bugbears wear hide armor, as well as anything that is not made of metal, unless they acquired it in a raid. They commonly use clubs, spears, daggers, maces, and staves, but these weapons are often enhanced with their shaman, or worse, chieftans magicks. If you fight bugbears, expect a fight as hard as and brutal as fighting a pair of ogres, or a squad of orcs, as these beings will be tough, strong, and have plenty of traps laid in their area.
Gremlins and Jermlaines I sadly have little advice for fighting... because they do not have magic users and exist in dark places it is suggested you wear armor and have a light source nearby.
