Hey there! My name is Sean, I'm 27 and hail from the graet metropolis of Calgary, Alberta. (That's in Canada, the western part) By day I work a crappy job that I won't discuss, and I promote punk rock and metal shows in dingy beer-rooms by night. I don't have any children (that I know of), and I'm the coolest person you have never met.

Greetings everyone,

I'm a 30 year old programmer from the midwest and I've also been involved with the NWN community as a scripter/builder since the game was released. In my spare time, I teach Iaijutsu and other martial arts as well as a fair amount of PC gaming with my son. My current character is an Elven Ranger/Arcane Archer that I've grown quite fond of Smile

Well, so far im the baby at 22 years old, and ive been playing rpgs since i was about 4. I work in health care as a home health aide and i'm in the process of getting my nursing degree. I live in the State of Rhode Island, country of America. I'm going to be on vacation starting this 16th, and I'll be gone for three weeks. If you happen to catch me online in one of the rare moments i have amidst all the bustle of getting everything squared away for my trip, I play Lilith. Say hello, she's a friendly type, and loves talking to new people. Or if your not the say hello type, evil characters feel free to introduce themselves with the requisite dramatic flair, threats, and mysterious nature your kind are prone to having.

In my 30s. Sysadmin/DOITALL. I code, debug, build, architect, etc. My chars name is Frem. I REALLY like rogues even if Im not the best at playing them. I like the idea of a character that tinkers and they do more so than Bards I think.

Im all for bio-mechanical implants. =) Yep Im borgish. Everything I run is linux and has been for nearly 8 years. Before that I was on windows and OS/2 and linux. Im a geek in just about all ways of the definition though I can say I have never eaten a live fish.

Ive coded an nwn module though Ill note I didnt spend a lot of time on nor did I do it in a timely fashion. Life has a tendency to prevent that role. You can dl it at my site or on ign vault. Daeamarth is its name.

I like this world though I wish more people were around in it. Been trying to get some friends/aquantainces and family to play it but no joy thus far.

*babble*

Ok I am new here and I guess I am the youngest here at 14 years old. I live in Austin Texas, and go to westwood high school. My life has been pretty crappy (in medical terms), I am bi-polar, and i got mercury poisoning when i was five, and they didnt find out about it untill i was twelve(NO i was not messing with thermometers). I have been playing NWN for about two years, and just starting building modules and stuff. I am waiting for the server to get back up so i can begin to play.

Hi. I'm about 40 year old and after a long time spent in various servers (mainly role play and social ones) olny now I read of the World of Aenea. It seems quite interesting, expecially for me normally playing a cleric and for the improvments to the oriinal games it brings. I'll check it up soon and, even if I don't have much time to play, I hope to find some hours of fun in a new and inexplored world.

Hey all, I'm Brad from Kalamazoo, MI. I'm 27 years old. Have been in the Army going on ten years now as a 11B. I'm currently serving as a infantry squad leader, former sniper with the 25th ID. I got started playing NWN on a deployment. A friend of mine had it on his laptop, it was a great way to pass the time since it was a dry deployment(no drinking). My charcter is Lore G'ladheon Human fighter.

Hi folks,

I’m 29 years old and live in Scotland. I’m in my honours year at university studying computer games technology (no, it doesn’t involve playing games all day).

I don’t get much time to play anything right now but I seen this PW advertised on the NWN site and thought I’d check it out.

Game on.

Hey, all!

My name is Eric (I go by atrophied_eric). I am 34 years old, originally from Pittsburgh (sorta), lately a resident of Hollidaysburg, PA. I have an awesome wife and three wonderful children (9, 6, 2), possess both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in history, and enjoy making friends on MySpace. There's not much else of interest here. I've been working on making my own modules (off and on for the past 3 years, though they'll probably never be completed, but what the hey), but it's always nice to kick back and explore someone else's world.

Some time ago, I downloaded and loved Amethyst Dragon's colorized icons. Then I tragically lost my videocard, and wasn't able to play NwN for close to a year. When I got a new card, I decided to try something new and do the online thing. There are so many choices, though - almost too many for me. Then I saw an ad for Aenea on the Vault, and thought "Cool! Amethyst Dragon did it, it must be quality!" I was right. I've been playing on Aenea for about 3 or 4 weeks now, and I'm hopelessly hooked.

My character's name is Sta'stillen Thriceblind, and she's a straight-up human (I think) fighter. I don't play often, and it's sometimes only for 20 minutes or so, but the experience is nonetheless extremely satisfying. Probably take someone like me years to fully explore the depth that Aenea offers!

So, hello everyone! I'll be roaming Aenea for awhile, so give a shout-out if ya see me wandering past!

Wow... reading all the descriptions up to this point this feels like an AA meeting. lol Hi, I'm Lucas and I'm a NWN addict! *various shouts* "Hi Lucas!"

But no, joking aside, I'm 26 years old... I started with basic D&D when I was about 10 and moved to The Amethyst Dragon&D when I was about 13, I've been playing PnP ever since. I started with video games as soon as I was old enough to hold a controller (about 3) and I started with pong before taking over my dad's atari 2600 and later getting my own 7800 pro. I've had every popular system to come out since then with the exception to the 360 and PS3. Games like NWN and Baldur's Gate on Computer/PS2 are my favorite... followed closely by First Person Shooters and racing games. (In that order)

I'm an IT tech and I live in Whitehall, Maryland. I've lived in MD my whole life and don't plan on leaving any time soon. I travel a lot and enjoy scuba diving and skiing/snowboarding out west (and sometimes out east where I live) a lot. I play NWN at random times... but usually from 1-2pm EST to 5PM and then/or from 10PM to 1-4am. My character name is Lucas... almost always... and my player name is Oneiroi Phobetor if you'd like to catch up with me. I'm an easy going player and I get along with most everyone. I say a lot of stupid and foolish things and sometimes it can seem like I only have half a brain, but I always have a great heart. (I swear I'm a smart guy, I just do dumb things Smile

My downfalls in life are strippers, pretty women and excessive partying... I seem to be growing out of it though, thankfully, so hopefully I'll keep my life on-track from now on and keep playing NWN. Very Happy

I very much enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, and I think the invention of the internet and games like NWN that allow for socialization between people from various cultures from around the globe are just fantastic. Useful even for promoting world peace perhaps Wink Instead of having wars we can all log onto our favorite online game and duke it out without the need for real bloodshed, what a novel concept. Very Happy

Anyway, I'm a decent typist at 85 words per minute, so I tend to be a chatterbox. If I'm ever yammering on (like now) in excess just tell me so and I'll try to keep it to a minimum.

Cheers Amethyst for making such a neat PW Module! I hope to meet a lot of new players there! See you in Aenea!

Greetings, fellow DnD enthusiasts. My name is Bryne, and I am a slightly eccentric 17 year old male on my way to MTU. I live in a wonderful cold and naturey place called the U.P. that, sadly, is a bit short on the culture part in many places. I've just graduated, and am going to college for a biomedical engineering degree. I'm a great lover of books, DnD, fantasy in general, and nature. Fish. I'm a bit of a powergamer (currently making and playing what should turn out to be a formidable AA), but I'm fairly pleasent company and generous enough with loot. I like exploring (but I'm awful with maps and tend to get lost a lot) and a little roleplay session where it comes, but I tend to make stupid spelling mistakes occasionally. From time to time I say things that make no sense just for the fun of it. I look forward to seeing you people in the game all at once, having the # of people on the world maxed out at 20.

I've always loved a good fantasy book and raised myself on LotR and any other quality works that I could get my hands on as a child. My first encounter with fantasy games per se were single-player computer RPG's which I fell in love with. My first MMORPG was Ultima Online and I've currently just begun playing EVE Online.

As for my play style, I tend to vary my classes quite a bit and usually end up with multiple characters quite quickly. I always play a good-hearted character, whether polished or a little rough around the edges. I generally tie my various characters together in some way either by using the same last name or roleplaying them in a way that connects them with each other. I like down to earth characters that aren't proud or arrogant hotshots. I always prefer depth of story, attention to detail, and quality content over shallow hack-and-slash action.

I'm in my mid-twenties, live in the US, and work as a machinist.

Mmmmmm, perhaps!

I love reading old posts, particularly from when people were just starting out ... I believe that daveyeisley has a few good ones here and there!

Oh, as a sidenote - The Amethyst Dragon, are the old Bravenet forums still available and readable?

I have not idea. Maybe. I'd have to see if there's a web archiver out there that has an old copy of the site with the address for that forum.
