Used: Greater (and lesser) Missile Storm

Not a suggestion for changing the damage dealt, but rather a visual change (or reversion rather).

Casting either of the missile storms on the server, neither one really has much visual oomph to it, not like with the default NWN version of the spells. I just don't feel like I'm casting a missile "storm". A super packed singular magic missile, sure, but not a "storm". The default spell's visual is a mass of missiles that fly at the target(s) one after another.... nice flashy visual, the sweet 'fwooshfwooshfwooshfwooshfwooshfwooshfwoosh' sound effect...

Could these spells be given their visual appeal back? It'd make scaring the poop outta the meat-shields who forgot their shields of force that much more fun

I think the visual is still there, but the range is what appears to be lacking. Currently, it is useful when surrounded by foes, but it does little to a single Boss, and nothing at all unless one is face to face; a sad place for a good mage to stand.

The visual Manny is talking about is the single bolt (The current one) What is proposed is for the original visual of the Missile Storm spells (IGMS and ILMS respectively) to be put in place in it's stead.

FWIW, it would be nice to see if the attacks are doing something to the foes besides having to carefully check combat logs, or having to come close enough to hug them.

I dont mind the visual, and I understand why it was nerfed so much... magic missile alone, with 5 missiles onscreen is a big drain on the server because of the "tracking" arc calculations for it to properly arc out and then strike the foe for *each* missile. Ad explained that to me many moons ago....

What bothers me about the spell is an echo of what Elhanan said... you have to be too damn close to use it.... I think the AoE should be medium range, so you can center the storm well away from yourself.

lesser missile storm has a gargantual radius (bigger than a fireball), greater has a colossal radius (the same as a firestorm or meteor swarm).

Number of missile visuals now increases as caster level increases.
