Making spell sales easy!

I've been sitting on this one, but have a moment, so here goes...

How about having a line of conversation, very similar to the teleportation magic option at Mystara's grove, where you are prompted to enter the name of a spell followed by the quantity that you desire - for example, "continual_light 27" - and then you get 27 scrolls with the appropriate amount deducted from your gold. I offer this to reduce the tedium of purchasing mass quantities of scrolls one at a time, or having to search all over several server resets to find a specific quantity of spells.

Or, if not viable as a conversation option for existant merchants, how about a spell merchant who specializes in delivering specified quantities of scrolls. Or even have a mage-scribe who, for a HEFTY fee, of course, has the ability to copy specified quantities of scrolls from an original in the PC's possession.

I likes it, I likes it alot! That would make things easier.

Rather than a dialogue option (which takes up multiple resources), perhaps an expansion of the "shop" vc command.

Buy 1 of the scroll you want, use the select tool on it, and then a command that goes something like "shop bulk #", where # is the number of items you want, and the "bulk" will feed the selected item's tag into the script that fires off that VC command.

That sounds fantastical, MannyJabrielle! Something like that!

This would get rid of the only reason I don't buy scrolls. Nice idea.
