Feb. 25: XP Store and Some Info

XP Store: 40th level characters with XP to spare can, if they want to, talk to Lady Shea in Mountainholm Castle about using that XP as currency for doing things like gaining blood of magic and getting a boost to an ability score (up to +20). Please wait until after the next reset before using this function for ability increases.

Info: After the next reset, a new VC command (info abilitymods) will list the highest ability increase "tomes" your character has used and the different boosts you've gotten from Lady Shea.

Please do not use this command often...each time it's used, it runs 126 calls to a database file in 5 seconds...which can cause lag if repeatedly used by lots of people all at once.

As for the command, wowsers! 126 calls in 5 seconds? Maybe there needs to be a delay put in for repeated usage, sort of like how the animation styles used to be?

I imagine you made it as efficient as you could, and its a shame it can cause that sort of lag, but I think its worth it to have such information accessible.

Yup, 126 calls.

6 ability scores x 20 possible upgrades via Lady Shea (each of which can contain multiple data in a particular string), plus 6 possible upgrades from books.

The 5 seconds is because I delayed each 20-log loop by 1 second from the previous one to make it run better.

6? I thought tomes only went to +5, or does this count the concentration skill focus book too?

This XP Store addition is probably one of the most hoped-for additions out of all the things I have suggested.

6 ability scores (str, dex, con, int, wis, cha) --> 6 ability increasing tome types (each type adds to only one database entry, using the highest level tome you've used)

The ability boosts at the XP store aren't working. The VC command gives the feedback that you've chosen a particular ability, but when you ask shae to perform her mojo... nada.

The BoM purchasing works fine though. Oh... and for another misc. item to buy... maybe relevel scales? Particularly for ascended PCs who don't have scales anymore, it'd be great to be able to buy a set to capitalize on increased intelligence scores Soulgems might be nice to buy as well.... if a character doesn't have 50 already, being able to buy a few for a bit of XP would be a great investment

Gabriel got a nice +1 CON boost

The info abilitymods command is not showing the stat upgrade, however. It *did* get all the tomes he has used, which rocks!!!

Could we add the ability to purchase base saving throw increases too? I'm pretty sure LETO can handle that.

Figured it out.

Suggestion - add some of the newer feats to the store, like Fast Healing and Mystical Insight. Having the crafting feats in there would rock too.

Skill upgrades would also be neat.
