XP Store Idea: Advanced Item Appearance Crafting

Would it be possible for the XP store to sell a service that would allow a PC to change the appearance of an item (even one that isn't normally changeable) to any option available in the toolset? For example, there are some pretty cool spear models not covered by the magic boots, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to use a custom item voucher on a spear with the Impaler around. I think this would be a good way to bring a little more visual variety to Aenea, and having it go through the XP store should keep it rare enough that not everyone will be running around with energy shields and the like.
