Used: PC voice sets
I don't know how difficult this would be, but I think it'd be cool if we could change our PC's voice set in-game, like you can with portraits, heads, etc. Sometimes I get bored of the voice set I've chosen, or I find it doesn't quite fit the character like I'd initially thought.

Re: Used: PC voice sets
I second the idea. I have chosen voicesets on a polish game version and now that I switched to english one(no hassle of translating stuff being the main reason) I no longer like how my characters sound.

Re: Used: PC voice sets
I'll third it, knowing the sting of a poor choice of voiceset all too well
Besides, if this goes in, we'll be able to change everything about our characters except our names and first level classes lol

Re: Used: PC voice sets
Even the 1st level class *could* be done I believe, but it would take a lot of checks and leto edits to do... it wouldn't quite as simple as just changing the "class" field with a leto edit. HPs, spells, feats... does the PC lose some, gain some, spells as a wizard? Familiars/animal companions? Lots of little stuff

Re: Used: PC voice sets
I'm definitely going to say that this would be, plainly put, awesome. I've chosen the wrong voiceset before and after 7 levels on an XP drained server, I just turned off my voices lol.

Re: Used: PC voice sets
I'm working on something for this today. There will eventually be a VC command (something like ;;option voiceset xxx), that will let you pick from a list of possible voice sets (which I'll post on the website once it's all ready). The command will boot you from the game while some Letoscript alters your character file, then logging back in you'll have the new set.
Right now I'm going through all the possible voice sets, listening to them so that I can describe them properly on the website and so that I can have the script properly match up voice sets to characters (so males don't end up with female voices and vice versa, and so PCs don't end up with animal sounds or something like that). I'm going to be including a whole lot of NPC voicesets, not just the standard PC ones.
This may take a couple of days...there's a lot of voice sets and several kids demanding my attention today.
* signs off to go take an empty Diet Dew can away from the youngest boy before he cuts himself on the open edge... *

Re: Used: PC voice sets
Aww, some of the animal voicesets might be entirely suitable for shifters/druids though
