Multiple sets of wings Empty Multiple sets of wings

Post by plumjuice Wed Jan 16, 2013 11:13 am

If I had a Demonspawn Fae, paladin 20/fae adept 10/rdd 10(for argument's sake pretend it's possible) how does the game calculate the set of wings to display? And if it's possible/not already implemented, could a system be set up to somehow choose?

I'm willing to hazard a guess that each successive set of wings overwrites the previous. The only SNAFU is the Demonspawn (which, IIRC, can't also be Fae adept), since they can randomly sprout wings.

At that point, it would all be how AE coded the appearance scripting. Likely, the Demonspawn wings would appear when they would, otherwise the PC would have the last set of wings to appear. That would be the likely default, I'd think.

I figured that demonspawn wings would override, I just didn't know if it would be the first set obtained or the most recent that would be displayed. To the suggestions Sub-Forum!

Here's a basic look at the hierarchy:

- - fallen celestial wings (blackguard, only if PC already had paladin celestial wings) (overrides only paladin class wings)

- celestial wings (paladin lvl 20) (overrides subrace wings, not class wings)
- dragonsoul/red dragon disciple wings (lvl 9) (overrides subrace wings, not class wings)
- fae adept (lvl 10 - non-demonspawn fae only) (overrides subrace wings, not class wings)

winged (subrace) (overrides nothing)
demonspawn (subrace) (overrides nothing)

Subrace wings are the lowest in "rank", and they do not replace other types of wings.

Class-based wings override subrace wings, but not other class-based wings. So, whichever class gave you wings first, those are the ones you keep...

...unless you are a paladin with celestial wings and you turn into a blackguard, then (and only then) you'll get the "fallen" celestial wings.

Awesome. Now I can think about trying out my Bard/fae adept/dragon soul (with fae wings)
Thanks for the feedback
