Mar. 6: Update to Contingency
The contingency spell will be getting an upgrade with the next server reset. The new version works using the VC command system for picking options and for canceling the spell, and it will last even through server resets until canceled or triggered.
contingency help = get yourself access to the in-game help topics list
contingency list c = list possible conditions
contingency list r = list possible responses
contingency set c xxxxxx = set the condition that will trigger your future castings of contingency
contingency set r xxxxxx = set the response that will happen with your future castings of contingency
contingency cancel = cancel your currently active contingency spell
Be sure to set you condition trigger and response effect before casting the spell, or your spell will fail to take effect. You will not be able to change condition/response while you have an active contingency.
The options you pick for this are persistent...you can cast the spell again later with the same settings if you want, without manually picking them.
Possible Trigger Conditions:
wounded50 = you are wounded to 50% of your hitpoints or below
wounded25 = you are wounded to 25% of your hitpoints or below
stone = you are petrified
paralyzed = you are paralyzed
negative = you suffer a negative level
underwater = you are underwater
confused = you are magically confused
blind = you are blinded
dazed = you are dazed
diseased = you are inficted with a disease
dominated = you are magically dominated
entangled = you are magically entangled
fear = you are magically frightened
poison = you are poisoned
stun = you are stunned
Possible Response Effects:
invisible = you turn invisible
flesh = you turn into your normal, fleshy form (no effect if not petrified)
teleport = you teleport to safety (the Temple of Life, Valorian's Vale)
ale = you get an ale (yes, really)
waterbreath = you gain the ability to breath water
heal = you heal (up to 50% of your maximum hitpoints)
fireball = detonates a fireball spell at your location
grease = releases a grease spell at your location
confuse = releases a confusion spell at your location
dispel = dispels magical effects that are on you
endurance = increases Constitution by +6
agility = increases Dexterity by +6
mindguard = increases Wisdom by +6
stone = protects you with stoneskin
mantle = protects you with a spell mantle
fire = surrounds you with a fire shield
shield = protects you with a shield spell
web = produces webs around you
Duration-type response effects last up to 1 game hour.
I look forward to hearing player responses (and will also likely read a couple of related bug reports, too).

Hehe, glad to see the ale is still in. That always made me chuckle.

Re: Mar. 6: Update to Contingency
I'm not sure. I think it's based off whatever spell it is for your caster class that you last used (or something like that)...most of them are just firing off the spell scripts at your current location, so it's whatever the game module uses when pulling GetSpellSaveDC().evilkittenofdoom wrote:What are the DC's for the hostile spells that fire?
