Custom item/spell question
I'm making a custom item for my Druid, and I want it to call forth a Dire Wolf (i.e. cast Summon Creature III). Given that Druids cast Summon Creature spells one level higher, does this mean I should make the item cast Summon Creature II? Not that I particularly mind the enhanced summoning, but the item is a wolf totem, so I want it to cast a wolf.

Re: Custom item/spell question
I'm not sure.
What you could do though, go get scrolls of summon creature II and III, see what you get when you use them. If you get the wolf with a summon creature II scroll, you'll get a wolf with the summon creature II spell on an item as well.

Re: Custom item/spell question
OK, another question. Is it possible to make a custom dagger (or sword or whatever) silver, so that it'd hurt werewolves? I assume just choosing 'silver' as the material isn't enough to do it.

Re: Custom item/spell question
You can, but you need to make a special note of it in the comments section for the item so that I can give it the proper tag in the toolset. I'd also say that you'd need to reserve, say, 5,000 gp of value since it's going to be more effective against things like vampires and werewolves.
Also, if your character is a wolfblood or vampire, you won't be able to hold the weapon in hand or in your inventory.

Re: Custom item/spell question
Most interesting. Can armor and other items have the silver property as well? Last I recall it did something but I cannot remember what...

Re: Custom item/spell question
They could, but it wouldn't make any difference in battle. NPC vampires and werewolves aren't hurt by hitting silver, they're hurt by being hit with it. PC vampires and wolfbloods wouldn't be able to hold onto silver armor or shield any longer than they can a silver weapon.
