Not Used: Wanderer's Portals
So, I wish I had thought of this before rescripted the portals, but it might not even be worth persuing.
I was just thinking about the Farstep Potions we have in game, and how the Wanderer's Portals currently drop you to 1 hp and send you to limbo if you get a portal address wrong.
What if, instead of dropping you to 1 hp and sending you to limbo - where you just wait a bit and then end up back in the Vale, the portals sent you to a random place (like a farstep potion) if you don't enter a correct specific address?
There wouldnt be need to drop the PC to 1hp, just in case they end up in hostile territory, but they might end up WAY off course. This way, also, if the PC has an escape potion, they could get back relatively quickly to try again (waiting 5 minutes in limbo is really frustrating sometimes).
Also, this would seem to fit the theme of Gort a bit better, as well... for those who have gained the 'key' to the portals, they can purposefully enter a random combination so that they can use the portals to 'wander' to distant places.
What do folks think?
