Does anyone have an idea why an item I designed in the toolset would not display properly in-game? My new sword has that lovely 'brown sack' visual in place of a proper handle, which looked perfectly OK in the builder module. I checked my override folder and made sure my CEP was up to date, and I have the latest Aenea files. scratch

I think the build module needs to be updated.

As the build module refers to the same hak files your using for the live game it shouldn't make much difference.... Does the sword render correctly actually INSIDE the build module (hit f9 to test) or just in the toolset....

Actually, no. I get the 'brown sack' visual in the module as well. It only looks correct in the toolset.

Erm... what does that mean, then?

What type of weapon is it, and what are the part numbers / colors?

It's a short sword, part numbers as follows:

top- model 3, color 7

middle- model 25, color 5 (this actually appears to be the bit that is not rendering properly)

bottom- model 5, color 7

Yeah it's that "middle part" causing you problems... NWN can't actually render a "null-part" like that... it will default to the bag.. that selection isn't actually a selection at all, it's kinda like an overflow because models 1-6 have upto 9 different color parts to choose from.....

May I suggest middles 1-8, 2-6, 3-7 and 5-8 ... all are "minimal impact" for that set-up there and look rather good with that blade... 2-6 is the most minimal impact and looks rather good, but I especially like 3-7..... ....

Thanks for the info, RustyDios. You're right, those other models you suggested look quite good. Guess an item upgrade/redesign is in order with my next voucher! Smile
