Spell Suggestions: More Power Words
Power words can be much fun. I've been playing NWN2 lately, and there's quite a few more implemented in there than with NWN1. They work great with avasculate (cleave health basically). It'd be great for more divination school spells as well. Not too much love for the divination themed caster as is.
Some of the new power word spell suggestions as they're implemented in NWN2's 3.5 ruleset:
Power Word Maladroit
Spell level : Innate level: 3, Sorcerer/Wizard: 3
School : Divination
Components : Verbal
Range : Short
Duration : See below
Save : None
Spell resistance : Yes
Description:
You utter a single word of power that instantly causes one creature of your choice to become clumsier, dealing 2 points of damage to its Dexterity, whether the creature can hear the word or not. The specific effect and duration of the spell depend on the target's current hit point total, as shown below. Any creature that currently has 75 or more hit points is unaffected by Power Word Maladroit.
* 25 or less hit points - Dexterity drain
* 26-50 hit points - lasts 1d4+1 minutes
* 51-75 hit points - lasts 1d4+1 rounds
Power Word Petrify
Spell level : Innate level: 8, Sorcerer/Wizard: 8
School : Divination
Components : Verbal
Range : Short
Duration : Instantaneous
Save : None
Spell resistance : Yes
Description:
You utter a single word of power that instantly causes one creature of your choice to become petrified, whether or not the creature can hear it. Any creature that currently has 101 or more hit points is unaffected by power word petrify.
Power Word Blind
Spell level : Innate level: 7, Sorcerer/Wizard: 7, Other: Cleric w/ Darkness domain 7
School : Divination
Components : Verbal
Range : Short
Duration : Special
Save : None
Spell resistance : Yes
Description:
You utter a single word of power that causes one creature of your choice to become blinded, whether the creature can hear the word or not. The duration of the spell depends on the target's current hit point total. Any creature that currently has 201 or more hit points is unaffected by power word blind.
* 50 or less hit points - Permanent
* 51-100 hit points - 1d4+1 minutes
* 101-200 hit points - 1d4+1 rounds
