Not Used: Gemcutting

Just an idea to make investing time to increase your gemcutting skill more valuable.

What if, as you get to higher %'s of skill, you begin to have a chance at getting a magical version of a gem stone (ie light crystal, enhancement crystal, ioun stone, or even, at VERY high %'s, a deepcrystal)? Not sure of how much scripting this would involve so I understand if it's not viable...Just a thought.

Not viable. The type of final cut stone that is produced is actually decided by a hidden variable on the uncut stone itself...the tool use script just checks to see if you're good enough to reveal what's already inside. The more valuable the final stone, the higher the difficulty needed to succeed without ruining the gem.
