First 40th Level Character on Aenea.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this besides a couple of times in-game, but the first character to reach 40th level on Aenea, in its two years online...Grog Ale-Quaffer!

Congratulations, Myd-Nyt! That must take a lot of time and dedication to a single character. None of mine have yet to even reach 20th level...I get an idea for another character and switch a lot Smile

Not just the time in Aenea (ask daveyeisley just how many hours he's put in), but the dedication to a single character along with all that time.

Indeed, it is truly impressive to gain 40th level so quickly. After about 28th, the XP starts becoming so slow, and the amount needed so high, I started to feel like it was a sort of "semi-forced" character retirement.

The dedication needed to gain that much XP when each kill yields 4 or less and such a high amount is needed is remarkable.

I will get there eventually... but yes.. I have put in somewhere around 300+(EDIT:did the math wrong lol) hours on Crideas. Much of that exploring so that I could learn the World and be a useful DM. (damn the lack of omniscience, you cant teleport places you havent been, and to explore places you actually have to *walk* around... bah!)

As for Gron... let me be clear.... if I have learned anything in the numerous times he has sent me to the great hall in an eyeblink... it would have to be that...

Gron fears nothing.

If you stand within reach of Gron's axe... you will find yourself in the
great hall very soon.

Even with 40 levels, Grog may have his hands full with that Orc.

40th level is truly an impressive accomplishment, reflective of both the player's dedication and the lure of Aenea.

Not only that, Grog is an outstanding combination of resilience and prowess along with large degree of versatility. I'm sure this was no accident, and some wise decision making went into level/feat/skill choices.

Congrats to Grog!
