Slow Boots of Gort Empty Slow Boots of Gort

Not sure if this falls into Bug, Suggestion, or Feature, but my cleric of Gort recently attained the legendary Boots of the Wanderer and was somewhat disappointed to find that she runs significantly slower in these boots than in the commonly available Boots of Striding and Springing. It seems that the movement bonus applied by the Boots of Striding is higher than that applied by Haste. I think it is not unreasonable to have the Boots of the Wanderer apply the same movement bonus as the Boots of Striding and Springing.

Is the character also a monk with monkspeed by chance? I'm not positive (since it's been aaages since I played nwn with permahaste), but I don't think the monk speed stacks with permahaste items. I could be wrong though.

From my testing, Haste speed boost does not stack with monk speed. The Striding and Springing boost does.

Perhaps the haste boots could also function as Striding boots for the purposes of the speed boost?

And yes, I agree that the Boots of the Wanderer should provide the speed boost for monk/clerics.
