Item update anvil

If I have a pair of boots the dwarf has upgraded, or a ring or sword I have added crystal to, if I click the anvil to get my custom item, will it replace my sword or boots as well? Will putting them in the vault protect them?

Most swords and boots have not been updated. Same for most rings, as well.

On a related note, I'm pretty sure most of the "outdated" items have been removed from the game, so I'm going to be emptying that list out in the next day or so.

Putting items into an ethereal chest, or dropping them on the ground before clicking the anvil should protect them from being swapped out for unmodified versions.

If you have a couple items you are concerned about, take screenshots of the properties window of them.... preferably with something in the background of the shot that proves it was taken while logged into aenea (like an aenean landmark or NPC, etc). That way if the worst comes to pass you not only have a list of what was on the item, but also proof neyond your word.

Not to say that we wouldnt take people at their word, but this way there is no doubt.

Unless the anvil's been moved since I've last been able to log into the server... putting items into the ethereal chest has to be something you do before logging out and you know there'll be a reset before you log in... as there's no way to go to your chest, then back to the anvil.

I know of a workaround though.

Belts of many pouches. When worn (not just sitting in your inventory), the game doesn't scan through it's contents. This applies too to ioun stones in a belt when worn... when you go to activate iouns... the game just doesn't see the iouns inside a worn pouch belt.

Stick your dwarf upgraded doodads into the belt. Wear it. check the anvil. Proceed into Aenea as normal.

New question, are Skywatcher's custom items in yet? I get an error message when I try to use the update anvil, and no swapping of vouchers for items.

PM the names and details on the items to me and next time I am able I will log in and check the palette.

I dropped Skywatcher's items from the update script, since you said you wanted to rework them (July 5th email). I just haven't gotten the reworked versions from you yet, so I didn't add the items back to the item-giving script.

I see what happened. The reworked ones got sent to the wrong email address (where I deleted them, since I assumed they were just the notification email forwarded to my phone so I knew to check the NWN email). Found the new ones from today in the same mailbox, so I'll get them transferred and imported.

I see what happened, I used the reply to send it, and so it went to your gmail, which of course is not the address to send it to, but of course I would have had to actually look to know that,and that would have made the process way too easy!
