Traps - Purchasing

Is it possible to purchase trap materials from anywhere besides Smithy's?

I cannot get access to the trap shop as I am not a Ranger or Rogue.

I have points in craft/set and disable.

There are traps in a small shop between Tradeholm and the nearby Orc Fort; possibly located in a village named Fred or Barneyville?

I just went looking for it and found it, as I hadn't known. Guess I'll have to rattle every unmarked door everywhere now.

But since my toon is a Ranger/Rogue, I can't tell if he'll sell to any other class. Let me know if you can't get it, and maybe we can arrange for my toon to get your toon some of that Black Market stuff. *shifty eyes*

The guy's inside will sell to anyone as long as you finds him.
He's also one of the better buyers for your items than most merchants... (-;

Also, am I the only one which always investigate everything in an area before leaving it? XD
(Although I have to admit, with that strategy, I have had moments when I got surprised by having missed something and had to go back )

What always bugged me by that guy though, is that he doesnt care whether you openly "steal/borrow" from his chests in the background or not. Maybe worthy of a suggestion that he should act more like when you try to Pick Pocket a merchant (they'll stop selling to you until a reset happens--wouldnt matter how I came to know this though ).

There is also a very neat shop in Mountainholme castle... in the basement of the weapon and arms dealer near the league of adventurers... look around and I'm sure you'll find the place... although you may need to pick the lock to get in... ...

You can also find loads of traps in the hands of bandits... ...

Every door in a city, she'll try to unlock. But since most all the doors in all the tiny boring rural villages are barred tight, she'd sort of given up trying to find treasure among the poor farmers. Yep, she'll think differently now.

P.S. - The guy in Barneystown uses part of the same dialog as Smitty-- in fact, if you go into the trap supplies dialog and end out of it, it comes back to Smitty's convo tree, where he calls himself Smitty in several places. But the reply to 'I'll give you a peek' option, 'That sounds good', leads to a deadend 'no store available'.

Hey, and don't forget the disguise options for the rogue - fighter, wizard, priest! Those come in handy when you wanna purchase from those class-specific merchants.

wot, ho??? disguise options for rogues?? what's that, then? howzit work?

Occasionally in the apparel shops, one may see Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, or Rogue disguises. If worn to a shop which specializes in said class, one may also purchase from there, too.

I was totally wondering if those disguises would help you through shoppes or guilds!

And I hadn't seen the Cleric disguise, but I know exactly where that one would get me through.

I would be nice to have memory that recalled information prior to the fact rather than after. I have found that particular shop before, but maybe it was prior to the trap boxes being implemented. TY for the tip Elhanan.
