color icons advice

I already downloaded and installed the transparent GUI. Does that already include all the modified icons? I see other files posted at the vault. Are there other files I should download in order to have all the "latest greatest" icon overrides? Install in any particular order?

If I am not mistaken, the transparent GUI includes all the icons except the DM icons. If that is incorrect, I hope will clarify.

If you grab the "complete" transparent and colorized GUI package, it contains the GUI and all of the colorized GUI icons up through december 2010 (I think).

The only things it doesn't have are the generation 2 spell icons and scroll icons...but those are in the Aenea haks anyway, so you'd only need them for playing other modules.

OK thanks, I was confused by the file dates shown on the vault. For instance, when I use the link on the left side of the Aenea home page called "Transparent GUI" it brings me to the vault entry called "World of Aenea Transparent Unabtrusive GUI Overhaul/Upgrade". I assume this is what you mean by "complete transparent and colorized GUI package". It says on the vault that it was submitted in July 2007 and updated January 2008. Both of the Gen 2 icon links and also the 1.69 icon link have more recent file dates on the vault, so I will download those separately and install on top of the other file.

Yes I do use these overrides for all modules/PWs. I like them a lot, thanks.

PS : that complete GUI isn't linked in the "vault drive" thread... or the main website... I think it should be as it is a) the latest version and b) the most comprehensive for players....

Oh, I was also wondering, which specific file is causing the Aenea advertisement when I start NWN even though I have intro disabled?

The 1.69 are in the "Complete" package I linked to above.... ...

And the loadscreen is called "loadlegal" or similiar , but thats going from memory.. delete that one file to be rid of the splashscreen at start up...

Ooooh, thanks. That GUI link is to a much more recent vault file than the link on the Aenea home page.

The "complete" one is simply a compilation of the previous works (and it does include the DM icons). I don't have it on the "vote drive" list simply because everything in it, except for those DM icons, has already won Hall of Fame awards...

It's also not listed on the left side of the web site because it hasn't won a HoF award, and only the 17 award winners are listed there. It is on the "downloads" section of the main website under the optional downloads though.

Understood. I did actually see that link in the optional download section but it didn't occur to me that it was going some place different.
