Advice on where to play! Please!
Hi lads and lassies.. I've hit the giddy heights of level 27ish....... I'm really struggling to find where the appropriate level areas are for me to adventure in.. Can someone make some suggestions to me please? I usually play with another person running a 2nd character of similar level..
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Advice on where to play! Please!
If you are a warrior, I recommend the Orc territories, though be warned that Destroyers are properly titled.
If you have a high Spell Resistance, hunting on Deathwater Isle is productive at times, though loot is secondary as a rule. Others may like the more confined areas of the Underdark and Beholder tunnels, and loot is top rated here, though it can get crowded with hunters.
Then there is the hidden ruins and crypts of the Calinthian desert; often deadly and loot is somewhere twixt the earlier recommendaions.

There are a couple of entrances to the Underdark of which I am aware. Without SPOILING too much, look for these clues:
* a large hole in the ground somewhat near a very, very large sword.
* A cave near a deserted village; the latter housing a monument to the deity, Raith. The village should smell of root beer, but that may not be evident....

Re: Advice on where to play! Please!
The endgame stuff ?.. Now that would be you finding your way into the dark realms .... and trying your hand at the gauntlet that awaits there ....
You can find a route into the dark realm by solving the elemental puzzle in the swamps of mist ... defeat the "gatekeeper" to earn the "key" to the dark realm proper... it is a foolhardy venture at hand to go into the dark realm though... and the main portal is actually marked by mystara in the land itself...
Below is a more plain text explanation to get into the dark realm...

- Spoiler:
- Go to the swamp of mists, get some elemental elixers from each of the four towers.. use the elixers on the correct flame to gain entrance to the temple.. go through that and through the fields and dungeon after.. defeat necronius venger to obtain the "foolhardy ring".. wear this ring and head to the mystara shrine above valorians vale... step across the portal near the shop and alter and you will be taken to the dark realm... ...
As a mage you can also learn an epic magic spell that will force-open any portal to link with the dark realm...
Providing at least one member of the party has the ring the portal in the vale will allow all party members through... it stays open for about 1 minute after the ring-bearer goes through....
You can also be summoned/magehound into the dark realms... I'm not 100% sure teleport magic works to get there though...

Re: Advice on where to play! Please!
Use clues that are scattered about Aenea to forge a weapon needed to face a prophetic tyrant. A collection of these clues may be found inscribed and obtained from the center of the Calinthian marketplace.
And for the devout Holy Warriors amongst the populace, there is a reported weapon of legend that may be reassembled to aid in the battles against Evil. However, I know little of this quest as I have no Paladins in my personnel vault, and have yet to hear of this actually being completed. I believe that a clue to this artifact may be located deep within the caverns found in the Vale herself.
Personally, I would attempt either of these before trying to walk the Dark Realms.

Re: Advice on where to play! Please!
The prophecy and the paladins blade quest are good, though only three people I know of have found the parts to the paladin's blade (and while it is great flavor, the actual completion of the quest is something to be proud of, the reward is meh).
There is a Holy Avenger rumored to exist, one belonged in the tomb of a paladin of Granda Village, to the southeast. It most likely no longer rests in the tomb, but perhaps there may be a clue.
My personal opinion is that you will find the best challenge and get to explore a lot by persuing the Prophecy of Anga Nol, to learn of and defeat the Great Evil.

Re: Advice on where to play! Please!
Ok... I've been throught the four towers many times now.. killing lots of elementals.. After clearing all of them I find a crystaline stone but am unable to interact in any way with it.. and my weapon is no use against it. How do i get the elixirs? or essence? I'm stumped...
Sorted.. After the server reset everything worked fine.. Got the ring! Thanks for the help!
