Show us your lists!

So, how does everyone else set up their TP lists?  Any rhyme or reason to them, or is it just "slot empty, stick something in it"?

Mine (for all the A-team, easier to keep track that way):

First few are "safe/town" locations, followed by action/hunting spots, and the last slot I leave open for just random usage (save where I was at beore I log off, or i I need to return to a specific spot real quick, but it's not worth a permanent TP slot).  For wizard/sorcs.... 25 is vale, and the 'open/variable' slot for them is 50.

For my current character, a rogue/fighter:

1-25: nothing.

His only teleportation will be potions of escape and farstep potions (or Wanderer's Portals that other people activate).  He's a rebel that way.

My lists are more or less thematic so they match the individual character's needs and wants. So, case-by-case basis. There are of course so which goes again on every list. The basic tp keys: Vale, Entrom's, etc ^^'

I would do thematic too.... except trying to keep track of the lists for nearly two dozen PCs....

I'd still do it thematically even when I reach your PC limit though, just my preference. Also, in those cases where you can't really remember what tp list is on which character that's where ;;tp list, ;;tp list1 and ;;tp list2 comes in!  ^^'

That's a pain in the butt

Far easier to do like-lists, even if a 'thematic' PC doesn't necessarily have all the slots filled.

I also try to do lists which are mostly the same between my two characters (and will be the same for any future characters part of the same family also).  Since this player's memory isn't stellar, and since my two characters, Ranger/Rogue and Wizard, are actually the same person, I try to keep many of their traits the same.  The first 25 slots of my TP list are supposed to be identical between them.  That's the basic theory of their lists organization, trying to perfect it.

Slot 1 - their home (when they get it built, atm this is for their temporary base and is the same as 2 most of the time) - this becomes the default go-to place for emergency teleport, and at the beginning of a day I will usually set my tp target to this.

Slot 2 - archmagus' place (employer/mentor-colleague, current base of operations)

Slots 3 - 24 - common basics like Vale (cave, since the wizard is light-sensitive), major cities and hubs, each's temple, merchants, and then places that are frequented by the both of them.  Indoors locations whenever possible, as the wizard is light-sensitive.  Trying to get this in some logical order so that I can memorize the numbers for frequent destinations.

Slot 25 - temporary situational tp spot, for current adventure

Slots 26+   -  Since only the wizard has this many slots, in theory I'd put places where only the wizard goes into the next 25.  No particular order for these at this time, but trying to get not only places of repetitive interest, but also points scattered conveniently throughout the land.  Not even trying to memorize these, for these I have to look at the list most every time.

I don't know Valencia's TP list, but as a fun fact: Because of her demonic heritage, she can only bind to crossroads.

Re-reading my post made me think that if my shadowchild wizard were evil, they would be a classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde....  like Lady Ramana and Magus Hide.

I'm so glad that my flaky memory which confuses my characters' traits can now be explained by a mind overlap between these two.
