Nov. 21: Small area addition

After the next server reset (which I'll do manually sometime in the next few hours), some adventures may find that one of the smaller villages has had something terrible happen to it. Those investigating may want to invest in some fire resistance, climbing gear, and the ability to turn undead (so you can use a new VC command (bless portal).

The new areas look sweet! And the opponents seem to offer a wide range of challenge.

Notes:

The huge number of remains may be problematic for server lag, and there is little time to offer sacrifices in order to remove them. Perhaps the deity involved in this area should reclaim all minor possesions automatically? And while this appears to be a cleric based solution to stem the flow of the source, another 'switch' may be needed as well due to the possible overwhelming force of numbers.

Also, entering the main area from outside is rather suicidal in appearance, though it is quite managable. Perhaps offering a secure ledge or some other seemingly safe entrance spot may aid others to make the leap of faith to enter? This would not only help here, but would help prevent others from making like leaps elsewhere with more fatal conditions that appear much like this one.

Lastly, uncertain as to how spawns are monitored, but this would seem to offer unlimited XP which may be exploited.

Derik and I found the cave, but it was empty, and we couldn't really proceed...

If you went in before the latest server reset, it was empty and you should have gotten an "under construction" message. The cave is now there if you want to look again.

We found it again, and got to the portal. He cast TP barrier. Was that all we were supposed to do?

That's pretty much it. It's a small area.
