Mar. 17: Cleric Bonus Feats Change
I'm going to be making a change to the way clerics gain their bonus feats. Instead of using letoscript to modify the character file, the feats will be added as permanent properties to the cleric's "skin" item.
This may limit those clerics that had planned on using those bonus feats to qualify for more advanced feats, but will eliminate a serious bug/exploit where a character could gain extra feats by leveling up, re-leveling as a cleric to gain the bonus feats, then re-leveling again (dumping the cleric levels) while keeping the feats. It also makes it easier for me to add options later.
Yes, I could rewrite the re-leveling scripts (again) to account for every possible bonus feat from each of the types of clerics of different levels, but it causes a lot of extra work for everything I might add (for new semi-classes or changes to clerics or other classes) just to account for PCs using the re-level scales (or reincarnating/ascending).
Current characters with cleric levels will keep their current letoscripted bonus feats. This change will only apply toward future cleric level advancement. Sorry if this messes up anyone's plans for a current character build...but you have re-level scales to make changes, right? Clerics will still get the same feats, they just won't be letoscripted into the character file.

Which clerics does this affect? Only ones I can think of offhand that get feats are the typhis clerics.

Really just Typhis and Kalas.
Also, I'm doing behind the scenes stuff to shift the properties from the various headbands/lenses onto the PC's skin so that monks can properly use the items and retain their proper unarmed strike damage.

it would be nice if down the road, the re-level script could be changed to take such things into account (maybe facillitated by writing up and keeping updated a list of all the different class-based edits that letoscript is used for). A lot of the bonus feats that can be gained by such things arent veyr useful unless they allow the character to qualify for feats deeper in the trees, so while it is a bit of extra work... when time permits, I think it would be worth it.

I'd agree entirely. I know that the Dead Stalker's fear immuity is still done via feat (Aura of Courage) and that wasn't removed when Analo reincarnated. I plan on taking the Dead Stalker semi-class anyhow (She *is* an undead hunter after all) so I'm not sure if you want it removed temporarily or not.

It would be nice if the clerics feats/abilities/additional powers where brought into line with the website updates announced ages ago.... or if these powers have already been implemented (mainly granted spells) can the website get its "pending module updates" tags removed from each diety page ??...
