Not Used: Invisible Helms
With the addition of your visual effects based character customization system, I was thinking that it might be nice to be able to 'turn off' your helmet without getting rid of the benefits. Otherwise, wearing a helm/hood/whatever wouldn't work with most of those effects...

Not going to use this suggestion.
The only "helm" items that are visually "turned off" are the circlets and lenses. All other non-vfx helms cover the wearer's head, since those really are helmets.
This kind of goes along with visible cloaks. If you're wearing it (and the NWN game engine will properly render it), it's visible...which is why there are no "invisible" cloaks in Aenea.
And yes, I know the hat of disguise could get swapped out for a vfx hat, but that's about six layers of scripted complexity I don't feel like adding in for a single magical item that you don't see anyway while your appearance is disguised.
