I've altered most of the spell scripts for the next module update, so animal companions will get the same type of benefits from spells that familiars get. If a druid or ranger (or multiclass caster with an animal companion) casts a self-buffing spell (such as bull's strength or invisibility), the animal companion will get the same effect at the same time. Most such spells are affected.

So a multi-class Ranger/Sorcerer could have both their familiar and companion out at once, one casting of Cat's Grace will cover all 3 beings ?? .. That is uber-cool !!!!

Plus for the next module update, the contingency spell will start to apply a visual effect to the caster while it is in effect. And the ;;contingency info command will start to show extra information if you have an active contingency (listing the preselected condition and response that are in effect).

Techless One here....

Having the vfx attached is a real bonus, as using the Contingency spell is more difficult now to use. Knowing that one actually cast it correctly will go along way in making it a more playable feature.

Suggestion: change 'contingency' to a shortened form for purposes of typing commands. Also, a desription update may be needed somwewhere (perhaps scrolls?) so that one does not continue to look for temp item widget in inventory.

Thanks for the suggestions. I hadn't realized the spell description was so out of date. And I'll look at adding a shorter version of the VC commands.

Question on the contingency... will the VFX be on constantly? If so, will there be an option for those of us who wish to turn it off? I typically use only one contingency, and I've always made it a point to ensure it's up... so the VFX would be very good for many, but for some, it could be an unneeded effect flashing up the screen Smile
