At a glance, it looks interesting. I have no experience with vampires on Aenea, so I have no idea what is needed or works. Good job!

My first instinct for a possible redesign is to take all the Sorcerer and Dragonsoul lvls in Epic to insure a full 20 BAB. And I would also consider the Epic ST feats as a way to help boost lower saves. But I am not a great PC designer, as I often skip all the Great STR like feats for trying to make a more versatile character, and this one can use Teleport w/o UMD which is a huge plus for me.

I am just curious, why did you go with Dragonsoul over Red Dragon Disciple?

I was looking at the two and didn't really see any difference, so was wondering.

26 fighter levels and 50 strength with a 2 handed.... Ouch. Good build
Elhanan's comments are well aimed. You want the first 20 levels to be fighter for the best attack bonus. Good, solid build.

Main, and possibly only, mechanical difference between red dragon disciple and red dragonsoul is the AC bonus. Dragonsouls get dodge bonus, which caps at 20... While disciples get untried universal bonus which is uncapped and stacks with all other types.

Well, the Dragonsoul caps at ten, while the disciple does not. The red dragonsoul gets a bonus to strength(8 ), intelligence(2), and charisma(2). That's all the bonuses you get for being a dragonsoul while you could go up to forty at disciple, if I remember. Does that clear anything up?

Ya. You need level 1 to be sorcerer so you can get the dragon disciple package, making it possible to be dragon soul

I suggest trying a version that takes Bard or Sorcerer at 22, 27, 32, and 37th. Also take 5 lvls of DS between 23-30, and 5 between 31-40.

When you use the Re-lvl device, you can save most Skill pts until that classes final lvl to decide what you wish to take. Exception: 8 ranks of Lore are needed at 23rd+ to gain DS lvls.

This should give you a Base 20 BAB, and a large range of skills for you to utilize.

I'd drop the still and max spell feats. With only 4 sorc levels, you're not even qualifying for maximize spell anyway as you'll only have 2nd level spells.

I'd suggest going for knockdown instead.

I'd consider swapping sorc all together for bard. It still qualifies for RDD, and it has tumble as a class skill, among other benefits (a little more HP and skill points, +1 more AB (sorcs get +2 AB for 4 levels, bards get +3).

or another reason to go bard, lingering song feat will give you 60 rounds of bard song buff as opposed to 40 rounds. Quaking chorus would be a good choice too... 40 rounds of possible AoE knockdown, 60 rounds worth for two feat investments. or 40 or 60 points of regen with soothing refrain.

If you go with Bard, you may require UMD skill to use Teleport scrolls; Sorcerer has these, but does not have great Skill selections.

i'm rather certain bard's do not need a UMD check to use arcane scrolls. Only rogues and assassins actually run the umd checks for scrolls

While that may be true generally, Teleport and like scrolls do have Sorcerer & Wizard only marked on them. Pls get confirmation before investing Skill pts.

If I recall correctly, that only means that you'd need a bit of UMD to just get past the class check, just like you'd need a small given amount to equip a class restricted item, but when you use the scroll, you don't have to make an actual UMD check as a rogue or assassin would. When non-arcane class UMDers use a scroll, they have to make an actual check at the time of USING the scroll to get it to fire off (DC is something like 10+spell level)

I believe the DC is actually 25 + spell level.

DC 26 for a 1st level spell.... DC 34 for a 9th level spell.

now that i think about it, i'm 100% that bards don't take a check on using scrolls. i've never seen that with Alastair, and he has scrolls up the yazoo

Well, I do not play Bards; just a lot of Rogues, and Teleport magic is Aenea only. And when I take UMD, it is almost always 40 ranks for all those lovely items that can be used; not just scrolls.

I simply advise testing before final Re-Lvl is used.

And I suggest Aenea allow Bard's to increase to 6 Skill Pts.
