Used: Creature Types update for Master of the Menagerie Empty Used: Creature Types update for Master of the Menagerie

Since Master of the Menagerie semi-class was introduced when 'Outsider' was still a creature type used for all extra-planar beings, could we have the catching script updated to incorporate the new 'Demons' creature type in there, please?

Yeah spent like 30 minutes repeatedly trying to petrify a particular darkfire reaver (the bastard utterly refused to roll a 1 on the save - no lie, must have cast flesh to stone at least 60 times):

Step 1 - Lock down reaver (timestop/bigby's)
Step 2 - Cast until no more castings left
Step 3 - Drink renewal potion
Step 4 - Repeat steps 1 and 2
Step 5 - wait for renewal timer and drink another potion
Step 6 - Repeat steps 1, 2, and 5
Step 7 - After running out of renewals, use epic spells to conjure more
Step 8 - Dump a bunch of other memorized spells in order to memorize more metamagicked copies of flesh to stone
Step 9 - Repeat steps 1 through 6
Step 10 - Finally wear down petrified reaver to Near Death
Step 11 - Swap gear to maximize charisma and wisdom for capturing
Step 12 - fail to capture because demons arent on the capture list, only outsiders

Should be adjusted. You could always try on a lesser demon first, such as a balor or marilith, just to make sure.

And it failed again.... this time I got feedback messages showing rolls that were always 2 points higher than mine, and it telling me that I could only make so many attempts equal to my MotM level.

I just checked, and now I know exactly why... my targets were beyond 40 hit dice. Somehow I had forgotten that detail from when I designed them...

Still it would be good to have the feedback messages for exhausting your attempts on a target were different from the feedback when the target is simply beyond your ability.
