Ethereal Chest still shows in party after hiding

I'm supposing that this is related to a mishap I had with my Ramana's Ethereal Chest, about a week or two ago.  It was a typical oops about not unsummoning my EC before logging off in a hurry to change characters.  When I logged in with my other character and saw it, at first I tried to just use the Hide command with my other character, but then when that didn't work I just relogged in with Ramana and unsummoned it.  Thought that was fixed, went on my way.

But now I find that every time that Ramana accesses her EC, when she's done and sends it away, the EC avatar still remains in my party.  It can't be clicked on in any way, and will stay until I relog in.  It doesn't seem to be causing any real problem, but it's obviously an error.  It doesn't happen with my other character, only with this one that I had the recent oops above with.  Resets haven't corrected the situation.

That's very strange.  And I have no logical explanation for why it's happening.

Here's another clue to whatever is going on with this Ethereal Chest avatar that won't go away.

When I send the Chest away by its own menu choice "2.Send the EC away", it leaves the avatar.  Avatars which can stack up as you see (if the chest is called again before relogging).

However, if I use ";;echest hide" on the current chest, it will send it away and takes the latest chest avatar off the party list, like normal.

Thanks.  Noting that difference should help me get it fixed.  It's two different scripts for the chest if going via conversation (which I just plain forgot about, since I never use the things) and via VC command.

Issue may be number of items stored in the Ethereal Chest. When using the conversation to put away the chest, it counts the number of items in it's inventory to post to the server log. It might be hanging something up if that number is too high.  I haven't removed that code, but I did add a little so that it'll also report to the player how many objects the chest is storing.

The VC command to stow the chest doesn't do the count. It's otherwise identical code.

Haven't had this problem anymore.

But then my toon recently did get rid of a lot of stuff for upgrades.

I suppose it was either that, or the variable finally reset itself somehow.
