May 7, 2014: Two New Prestige Classes
Yesterday I did all the icon making, coding, 2da editing, and tlk file editing for two new prestige classes. These two aren't spellcasters or magical, and one even has considerable challenges if taking it on, but they'll be there if someone wants the roles.
I'll add links here to the website pages for the classes once the additions go live (when a hak update happens). Those pages will have the details (such as requirements for the classes and exactly what they get at each level).
Tollkeeper:
Well versed in the use of the staff and skilled with intimidation, Tollkeepers are experts at extorting bribes and tolls by threat of force.
- A 5-level prestige class that gets greater use of the quarterstaff and some intimidation/taunt/appraise skill bonuses along the way (but only while wielding a quarterstaff).
Magebreaker:
Perhaps wounded by spellcasters in the past, or maybe raised by a cult of strict magic haters, the Magebreaker devotes his or her life to destroying magic of all sorts. So powerful is this conviction, the Magebreaker's very touch has the potential to destroy magic. Some can even focus their will into a weapon they hold in order to make striking down spellcasters easier.
- A 10-level prestige class that quickly becomes very resistant to magic (SR 50 at 10th level!), but at the same time cannot use magic himself/herself (and in fact will often involuntarily strip the magic from items picked up if a Will save is failed).
- This one would be a huge challenge, since it would likely mean few, if any, magic items, no spellcasting, no scrolls, no healing potions, no empowering of weapons, etc.
- Their melee weapon would gain some bonuses when equipped to reflect their growing skill and personal power (attack, damage, and critical thread range increases), but nothing permanent.
- Eventually they get a couple of powers that activate right when they go into a rage that make life harder for spellcasters around them.

Oh. Those looks intriguing; can't wait to check them out properly to see how they works up close.
Question: Does the SR of the magebreaker stack with other innate abilities gained from other sources (ie Monks, Ascended PCs, etc)?

SR doesnt stack.
I know subrace SR doesnt always play nice with monk SR. Seeing as the magebreaker's SR will be added via scripting like subrace SR, it will be a lil wonky as well.

Just updating this thread title and fixing the website to actually give information on these two classes that should be live (as of a couple weeks ago).
Re: May 7, 2014: Two New Prestige Classes
Quick question on the Magebreaker class; Is the Fort/Will requirement base scores, or including stat modifiers?
I haven't played in a while, this looks interesting, but I'm trying to figure out my character and this will affect the build.
Thanks!
