Is Pale Master Summon broken?

I have a question about the way summons work for Pale Master. And before everyone starts posting links to the Pale Master changes for this site I have already read it. I am a level 8 Pale Master, and level 8 wizard now and my most powerful Summon Undead summon is still a 13 hp Goul. Every level I put into PM doesn't change how weak my summon undead is. My question is is PM summon system broken?

Just tested, and it sure looks like it is broken. Level 8 PM gets a piddly little ghoul. As far as I am aware the chart of what gets summon at each PM level has not been altered - level 8 PM should be getting a Wight.

Loggedin my palemaster (10wiz30pm).  His summon undead ability gives him a wraith, so it looks like the level progression for the undeads HAS been changed.

The level progression should be put back, or at least changed to something not quite as massively lame.

Even the wraith (9th level, top evolution for the summon undead creature) is incredibly pathetic.  Auger's animate dead ability (lower level PM ability) gives a far better summon (relatively speaking).  The wraith has something like 32 HP, while the animate dead summon for the same number of PM/wiz levels gives auger a zombie reaper which is almost double the HD, and somewhere around 5 times more HP.  I honestly rarely use "summon undead".  Animate dead and greater summon give far better creatures.

I was afraid of that. Now I have ask myself if I should push for it to get fixed or re-level as a wizard. How does these things get handled normally?

Shouldn't the Pale Masters summons be the scariest in the game? lol

The demilich is the scariest in the game, imho.

LOLs, now we have to get him back so I can scare some mobs.

He's very scary especially when you buff him with epic spells.

Well I guess I will have to dream of him lol.

Just to be clear, the demilich is from the "greater summon undead" ability not the summon undead ability.  AFAIK, the greater summon line works as it's supposed to in the lower levels.

So basically as long as I suffer through the lower levels I should be fine lolz

Just tested, it seems the regular PM summon undead brings a ghoul until much later level than it should, eventually you get the wight up until 30th level where the wraith comes out.

Honestly, I know its not supposed to be the strongest class ability, but its hardly worth using currently. *shrug*

I did verify that with summon greater undead at 29th, PMs get the Alhoon, and at 30th, the lesser demilich. So that part seems to be working.

Its all the levels on the way there which might be off progression-wise.

I tested the Lesser Demilich in a fight, and he tossed out a Weird spell. Guess what happened?

Please, pretty please, , fix Weird to be party-safe?  It so suxs to not to be able to use it other than when solo.

And/or stop your summons from killing you lolz
