Oct. 31: Alternative Combat Animation Styles
On October 31, those characters that have the latest update to the aeneahak_updates.hak file will gain access to new combat animation styles, thanks to rangarok_mr4 and his ACP v4 set.
The new animations will not override those of other characters (like the older v3 override does), and will be controlled via the VC command system. Entering style help will give you a list of the animation styles you can select from:
Kensai - similar to a classic samurai style
Assassin - crouching, holding blades backwards
Heavy - a more open, forceful style best for use with greatswords and similar weapons
Fencer - ideal for use with rapiers or two-weapon fighting (doesn't look good with shields)
Classic Shield & Spear - more like the ancient Greek fighters
Levitating - for showing off magical power (only for Sorcerer/Wizard level 20+)
Tiger Claw - an unarmed combat style (only for Monk level 2+)
Sun Fist - an unarmed combat style (only for Monk level 2+)
Dragon Paw - an unarmed combat style (only for Monk level 2+)
Bear Claw - an unarmed combat style (only for Monk level 2+)

Re: Oct. 31: Alternative Combat Animation Styles
Question; these seem to conflict with certain armor styles, mostly from the CEP Robes collection. Do they conflict with all CEP robes, all robes, only certain CEP robes?
(Our misfortune is that they conflict with the robe Beuttleria has chosen as a uniform, and are therefore inaccessible to us until we figure out a new uniform.)

They do not work with CEP robes. I think they work with standard robes.

Ok, so it's going to come down to trial and error to see what works and what doesn't. I know I used to be able to do Shield style in my Beuttlerian Heavy Plate, but nothing else worked, and Levitate was hilarious. Levitate worked with my kilt, though, which was fun.
