That extraneous PC Properties item

Because my inventory was just a wee bit too full, I dropped one of those PC Properties skins. And like a fool I picked it back up again.

I used to be able to delete this thing with the sacrificial flame, but now it's not 'acceptable' for my god - how inconvenient.

So, anytime a DM comes IG when Ramana Domefarar is on, could you come by me and get rid of this thing for me? (If I'm on as Ranara Duauth, I'll probably be able to switch chars for this, too.)

Are you using the flame on the right one? I had two of those for a while and used the flame on the weaker one and it stayed away. However, the last two days I keep getting them for no reason and have to sacrifice them repeatedly.

There's only ever one. Most of the time the PC Properties is a transient item that appears only for a moment when I equip one of the special helms. But if my inventory is too full to give the full two spaces required for the action, it will drop to the ground. Otherwise, if it doesn't drop to the ground, like I said, it's only around for a second and then goes away. So, there's only ever one around, and that's when I've picked it up again, so as to not litter. I used to use the flame to delete it, now the flame doesn't work on it anymore. That's all I know.

So, anytime a DM comes around and sees Ramana or Ranara IG, please contact me!

I still have this PC Properties skin that won't go away.

And this in on my ratpack rogue where every mote of inventory space is precious.

Too bad that the gods have gotten more choosy with what can be sacrificed in the flame!

I guess this inconvenience has taught me to always look before changing a helm, to make sure there's ample room.

Its still odd you can't sacrifice the old skin. I still get a second skin once in a while but I just sacrifice it without issue. Maybe Sorgath likes extra skin to be sacrificed?

Jewel didn't used to complain either. I thought had tweaked the script to not allow stupid stuff like that to be sacrificed anymore, but if you can still do it, I guess that wouldn't be the case.

I get a message:

"You feel that _____ would not be an acceptable sacrifice to ______."

Refuses to sacrifice other things also, I think there's some loot in drops like bone wands or something, it won't sacrifice unless it's still in the "corpse".

I got this 'Letter of Credit' item in my inventory (old item, from before Calithia was remade with that shiny new tileset) and I cannot get rid of it. I completed the quest long ago with a new letter of credit item I got one day but the old one cannot be removed, not even sacrificing it to Asis will get rid of it.

I'm guessing something has changed in regards to these PC properties hides because none of my other PCs have them and Fren didn't have one until she levelied with a full inventory.

Without knowing what to do, I picked it up and like Ramana was stuck with a hide that I couldn't get rid of. In fact I'd been dumb enough to do it twice!

However, I was able to use the sacrificial flame without causing my PC to explode in a puff of bright light, so all is good now.

Yeah, I'd noticed that at least the flame will sacrifice those now, must have adjusted that.

Just a related note: There is a certain item that can be crafted that comes with a special pair of gloves. Once obtained, if the gloves are placed into the inventory (because there's something else you'd like to wear on your hands, naturally) they remain, permanently. Much like the hides, and the sac flame doesn't work on them.

Perhaps, for all items that are non-cursed, even if they're non-droppable, perhaps the sac flame could still remove them, although I certainly wouldn't expect my deity to give me anything for it.

I had an undroppable bow received as a reward from a certain Elven quest, and since I never used it and it just took up space, eventually I got rid of it by the sacrificial flame.

So I agree, that most non-cursed undroppable items should be able to be sacrificed in order to rid them from one's inventory. I'd stop at custom items, but anything else that one had any possibility of getting stuck with, I'd make riddable.
